The municipality of Albrechtice lies on the Těšín Plateau, about 8 km south of Karviná. The first written mention of the municipality dates from 1447.

The wooden Baroque church of St Peter and St Paul, dating from 1766, stands beside the cemetery and belongs to the municipality, which also uses it for cultural events. The new brick church of St Peter and St Paul was built between 1935 and 1938. The Evangelical church of the Silesian Evangelical Church was consecrated in 1948, and a cemetery with a chapel dating from 1910 lies beside it. The Workers' House, built in 1908, is a listed cultural monument and now houses a restaurant with a hall for celebrations and cultural events.
